Sep 15, 2011 - Upper Wisconsin Great River Road

Today we took a drive down The Great River Road from the town of Prescott, Wisconsin to the town of Fountain City, Wisconsin. We've never been this far up on the Great River Road before. The highlight of the day was the National Eagle Center in Wabasha, Minnesota. We crossed the Mississippi to take a tour. Besides we wanted to visit Wabasha just because of the movie "Grumpy Old Men". Aug 28, 2011 - The Great Mississippi - Wisconsin & Minnesota

The Mississippi River is the fourth longest river in the world; nicknamed the "Mighty Mississippi". Until you see it for yourself you don't realize how much raw product is shipped on barges on this river. We started in Prescott, WI and drove south on the "Great River Road" to Nelson, WI in the car (a day trip).
