Oct 5, 2013 - Wisconsin, Lone Rock

We check in at the Camp Ground in Lone Rock WI Then go to a farm stand with lots of animals and things for the kids to see. Then to the Frank Lloyd Wright Visitors center then go by Taliesin, which was Wrights home and school for years. From there we go to New Glarus WI. The town has everything Swiss including the buildings. We go by Audra's dad's business, but it is closed and they are not around, oh well better luck next time. Joe is saying WI is his favorite state yet. It is very nice.

Jun 29, 2013 - Lone Rock, Wi, Taliesin & Cheese

Camped in Lone Rock, WI, from where we drove to Spring Green and toured Frank Lloyd Wright’s home, Taliesin. What an interesting character, definitely an architect ahead of his time! With little consideration for engineering, his buildings are difficult to maintain safely. In Plains we were able to watch curds and cheese being made and Danny learned what a hoop was. They had the normal cow and goats cheeses and water buffalo cheese as well. The water buffalo milk is now being used with children with autism.
