What a beautiful sunrise this morning!!!! Expected to see this site out west, but somehow never did (not that we weren't up early enough!!!!) Coming through the West Virginia/Virginia mountains made for an interesting interstate trip. Interstates tend to be BORING (that's why we avoid them if we can), but I-64 between Lewisburg, WV and Lexington, VA is a great ride this time of year. Sep 2, 2012 - Getting Ready

After all the months of preparation, we are ready to hit the trail tomorrow (a day earlier then planned!) Of course, the remnants of Hurricane Issac might put a damper on how far we get, but we are heading to Bardstown, KY...bourbon capital of the US!!!

Jul 14, 2008 - Day trip to See Morgan at Camp

Yesterday we went on a little side trip to High View, West Virginia to see Morgan. She has been in camp for the summer and it was visiting day for all the children. The day was very hot and humid even though we were in the mountains. She was so excited to see us as we were her. The camp is huge they have anywhere from 300-500 children attending. They have many activities for everyone that wants to participate. All of the children have the opportunity to learn horseback riding,archery,gymnastics,canoeing just to name a few.
