Left at 8:45 this morning and arrived at the park at 11. I was a bit surprised how full the parking lot was for a Monday. The recreation guide indicates this lot, Lake Rose, often gets full on the weekends and I can believe that would be the case. There are other lots available but it is then a mile or so hike just to get to the falls area. On the internet there was one of those lists, the best state park in each state. The COVID Compromise

Sep 17, 2014 - Ricketts Glen Adventure

Our goal yesterday was to go to Ricketts Glen State Park to see the waterfalls. The trip started out bad as a result of some misdirection by our GPS. I typed in the state park and selected “Shortest Route” and blindly followed the directions. What a mistake. The route led us to a small town called Nordmont, so far so good. After passing through the town, about a dozen houses, we started up a hill and the road pavement began to go away. Before long we were on a two tire track gravel road. Teemu and Panu: English: We visited Deluxe homes corporation on our vocational day. It was interesting to see how they built modular homes. We spent a couple of hours going through the production line. After the lunch we had a change to get into the design process. Panu was interested in the code that they use here in the U.S. It was interesting to notice that they have the same problems here than in the software engineering. Apr 25, 2005 - Tutustumassa sairaalaan ja ydinvoimalaan / Visiting hospital and a nuclear plant

(Alla suomeksi) We started our day at 8:30 at the Burger King by enjoying ham and cheese bagels. We headed towards Berwick County hospital. We had a chance to visit most of the departments in the hospital. We where surprised how homelike atmosphere it was in the hospital. We the personnel of the hospital we had a vivid discussion about the differences between the Finnish health care system and the system here in Pennsylvania.
