Mar 22, 2012 - Lanchaster County Trip

Left Waynesburg Pa, at 08:30. First trip of 2012. Five hours of driving ahead. A beautiful day to travel. Uneventful trip across Turnpike arrived at 13:43. We have been assigned our favorite site. No. 25 at Shady Grove Campground, Denver, Lancaster, Pennsylvania. We were surprise to see so many campers set up so early in the season, looks like 50% full. We were all setup by 15:00 and decided to visit our grand children in Reiholds, PA.

Sep 2, 2011 - Quiet, Early Mornings

It was 55 degrees at 3am in Denver, PA on 9/1; a sleepy little town near Reading, PA. Again, the delivery was fast and easy. Fortunately, the company we work for, Prime, Inc., has accounts set up so we don't have to unload the trailers. It's optional, if you really want the exercise, but 99 percent of the time it is payed for by the shipper. Years ago when we owned our own truck and were not under the "protection" of a bigger company that was not the case. Unloading 53 feet of trailer, even on pallets is a long, time consuming process. May 9, 2011 - To Denver, PA

As we leave the campground, we see five deer. In town, we find a breakfast place and then we head to the interstate. We have resigned ourselves to using the interstate on the first two or three days and travel and the last two or three days of travel. Not much to report. We got on the interstate in Washington, PA. We stopped at Breezewood to stretch our legs. We got off the interstate in Denver, PA. Once the RV gets up to sixty miles per hour, everything is a blur. We rest in the afternoon.
