Jul 19, 2018 - TT Gettysburg, 20 miles west of York, PA

We had a nice 120 mile drive to get from Andrews AFB to here crossing into Pennsylvania. We like this park, Thousand Trails Gettysburg for the amenities and farm animals not to mention it’s proxim to York, Lancaster, and Gettysburg for things to do! We had 11 inches of rain in the last several days. The lower part of the park flooded, requiring about 20 campers to have to hitch up quickly to get out of danger. We haven’t scheduled much for this visit and will keep you posted.

Sep 26, 2016 - Heading South !

One thing I failed to mention in my last TWO entries was, it's time to head south for the winter! ! ! Brrrr, it's getting cold up there in New York by Lake George and of course, the leaves are a changing. We saw geese and ducks bunching up and feeding and the beautiful leaf changing is AWESOME ! Here in this part of Pennsylvania is also getting chilly, a couple low 50's nights... This move of a mere 189 miles was easy. This stop is near YORK, PA at TT Gettysburg Farm, we've been here before and like it. We picked out a nice site down by the...

This was crunch-time because there was another RV assigned to our space and the RV park was FULL. So we drove the rental over to Enterprise Rentals, turned it in whereby they took us to the dealer. Whew, the parts came in and were installed, the road test went well, after paying the $2700.00 bill we went back to the base and hitched up. Rebecca...

Jul 27, 2012 - ODW Farm at Gettysburg

The 143 mile drive from Skyline Ranch Resort outside Front Royal to Outdoor World Gettysburg Farm near York, PA was relatively easy and beautiful. That is, the first half was easy, it was the last half that could have caused some drivers to bite their finger nails. From I-81 and Chambersburg we turned east on hwy 30 toward Gettysburg. It’s here in these small Pennsylvania towns that things can become dicey, at the towns center is a round-a-bout, some are larger than others. And, some allow parking, some allow delivery trucks to stop to make...
