We start the morning laughing. Last night, I asked our KOA host to recommend a breakfast restaurant. This morning I cannot find The Cracked Egg in the GPS. I pick up the Corvallis map. The restaurant is The Broken Yoke. “Cracked Egg” “Broken Yoke” What is the difference? Corvallis is a college town. Oregon State University is here. I like the town and the restaurant. Apr 12, 2010 - Can't Think of A Title

From Winchester Bay RV Resort, Winchester Bay, Oregon, on the coast, about 1/3 of the way up from California towards Washington. We’ve been enjoying the days & have done a few things that were worth writing about in a composite entry, so now that we have enough of those to blend together, here goes. Early in our stay here we were introduced to Gordon & Juanita whose journal is Seeing the USA in a Chevrolet by Dick, a mutual reader. We're Wingin' It

Oct 1, 2009 - Elkton, OR and the Umpqua River

It was a VERY easy 50 mile drive from Eugene to Elkton. This is a beautiful canyon and the RV park is smack in the middle of it all. We were given a space backed up to the Umpqua River. The first few hours revealed eagles, river otter, fish being caught by someone else and a near full moon. We scouted out this place last spring and quickly determined that we'd come back here in Oct for the early fall run of Silver and King Salmon.
