Jul 25, 2015 - Saturday Massillon OH

This is one hot day here in Massillon. Not much going on except getting everything loaded to leave in the morning. Chip has service at 8:30 and 10 am so he will be leaving early in the truck and we will follow in the motorhome so we can leave right from the church. I had to visit Tractor Supply and purchase a new tire for the front of my scooter, noticed yesterday that one side was down to the cords, guess I will need to get the regular tires that go on the scooter. There are some advantages to this campsite, got the motorhome washed...

Jul 24, 2015 - Friday Massillon OH

As we awake to little feet walking thru the motorhome to wake us up, Gavin and Addie felt it was time for us to arise. It is going to be another beautiful day parked in Chip’s driveway, love the rate on the campsite. The kids are like little water bugs since they have the pool in the backyard so they always use it weather permitting and today the weather permits. We do have a full day because we will be visiting the Ohio Military Museum in Massillon and attending the Ohio Flags of Honor ceremony in downtown Massillon today. The Ohio...

Jun 17, 2009 - Off to Ohio

Woke up early to pack up and leave for Ohio and it was pouring. Lucky I put the car on the tow dolly last night so I only had to dump the waste tanks in the rain. I should have known when it was raining this was not going to be a good day. I feel like Robin Williams in RV. We pulled out of our camp site and crushed the plastic wheel chock under the rear tire. I also forgot to unplug our shore power cord from the plug. Luckily there was no damage to the cord or the receptacle. We decided to take the PA Turnpike to avoid some of the grades we...

Jul 28, 2008 - back in ohio

I have made it back to the plains of northern USA. so glad to hear my own language ALL THE TIME. You know sometimes, while in a conversation with a bunch of people, you lose interest and your attention is diverted elsewhere. But anytime you wish you can jump back into the conversation and add input. Before I really go on, don't get me wrong. The quebecios are great people, most know english, they talked to me alot, I got to know many of them very well and I liked them - alot. But face it - the world is not all about me. so when we were with...

Jun 23, 2008 - On the road

I woke up early today to get started on my 9 hour trip to Ohio. After programing my GPS, my trip got underway. The GPS predicted 9.5 hours to get to Jen's house. I stopped for lunch at a Panera Bread in Lincolntown, North Carolina ( Wifi is great - I emailed my professor while at Panera). The rest of the trip was nice - pretty mountainous scenary, two tunnels through the mountains The first tunnel was under construction - made my trip an hour longer :(. I arrived in Ohio around 8 PM safe and tired.
