Tonight we are in Little Falls, NY. It is one of the old mill towns along the Mohawk river / canal. Not much in the way of outdoor art today, though there was a strange little church in the middle of a pond. A sign claimed it was the smallest church in the state (or something like that). It was set up for quiet meditation. Little Falls has lots of those solid, old, 1800's stone and brick buildings. Jul 18, 2008 - Liverpool to Little Falls

Liverpool to Little Falls Now this is what I am talking about! For 50 miles we followed the Erie Canal on two lane roads with almost no traffic. Rich, lush greens with groves of hardwoods, occasional farms and singing birds. The next 40 miles was not so idyllic with more traffic and less serenity…but it was flat and we had NO rain…couldn’t be better.
