Oct 16, 2006 - Shuffling off to Buffalo

We left Paul Wolff park in Elgin on Oct. 8th and drove about 10 miles north to Buffalo Park just south of Algonquin, IL. Buffalo is part of the Kane County Forest Preserves which is really nice for us. They only charge $15 nightly (as opposed to $20 at State parks and MUCH higher at private parks) and there is water on site so you don't have to use your tanks. There aren't as many trails as at Paul Wolff but it is right on the Fox River and the scenery is really beautiful especially as the leaves are turning and everyday the colors change....
