Apr 10, 2011 - Stopover in Herrin, Illinois

After living New Madrid, we drove another 90 miles north, crossed the Mississippi again, and ended up in the town of Herrin, Illinois. After we got settled, we drove the car a short distance to a Dairy Queen so we could each have an ice cream cone. All three of us had one. Holly loves ice cream. It's 85 degrees and feels like summer. Tomorrow we go to Champaign/Urbana, home of the University of Illinois and Jerry's alma mater.

Jun 19, 2008 - Illinois

We left Michigan on June 5th and went down to St Louis, for a few days so I could fly to Texas and attend our oldest grandson's high school graduation. And visit with our son in law that is home from Iraq for a short leave before returning on the 14th. Currently. we are in Herrin Illinois until the 21st. We are here to meet up with around 15 other Newmar Coach owners, to caravan into the Newmar international rally in near by Du Quoin Illinois. Aug 10, 2004 - Back In Illinois

Back In Illinois Aug 10, 2004 Well were back at Four Season in Herrin. Just returned from a wonderful time with family. Already thinking about the next reunion. Geri and John have volunteered to host the next one. Can't wait to find out where it will be. Should be wrapping up the work here in a couple of days then we will start working out of the Mattoon, IL office just a little ways up state. We're going to miss working with Roger and Abbie though so we will enjoy what little time we have left with them. Looks like we'll be working alone...

Jun 13, 2004 - Four Seasons Campground

Four Seasons Campground June 13, 2004 Just moved to Herrin which is located north of Marion. The gas company actually has more maps than we knew about that Roger and I will be surveying so we decided to locate here, it's closer to the areas we will be doing from here out. The rv park is owned by a long time food vendor at fairs and carnivals but recently got into disaster relief food service.
