October 24, 2012 (Wednesday)- Today the parts are supposed to come in. We knew it wouldn’t be until the afternoon, so we thought we would go out and look around closer to home. I wanted to buy a tire iron that would fit the trailer anyway, so we took the road next to the Flying J and drove north to Union Point, which was smaller than Greensboro and a lot rougher and poorer looking. Oct 22, 2012 - Getting the fix planned; checking out our surroundings

Oct. 22, 2012-(Monday). We are set up in the far corner of a Flying J at exit 138 on Interstate 20 in Georgia. Nearest town is Silmoan, Georgia to the south, which is nothing more than a couple of commercial buildings at an instersection. Seven miles the other way is Union Point, which has a few more buildings and shops but is also pretty poor looking. Spent the morning calling folks to get the repair underway. Oct 21, 2012 - Broke down in Georgia

Boy we got started off good today. We got up early, got the trailer ready, backed out of the park with one move, hit the road and made the right turns. We had one brief stop at a drawbridge as we were coming out of Carolina Beach, but that was the only thing that slowed us down. We stopped for gas and lunch at a Shell fuel stop, had some good Kentucky Fried Chicken, and we were on our way to get through Atlanta and head toward Lynchburg and Jack Daniels Distillery.
