Jul 30, 2011 - Lazy Saturday..
The boys stayed at Andy and Rebecca's last nite so Missy and I slept in a little. Then we lounged around until 5pm and we headed to Duluth to meet the gang for Midget wrestling. After a Mexican fiesta we went to the arena and it was hilarious. The little guys were great and it was very entertaining. The kids insisted on staying with their cousins again tonight so we have another free evening. The camp ground is quiet with lots of campfires and people just sitting around talking. Coco and I took a walk by the lake and we are settling down...Jump to full entry
Nov 29, 2010 - Duluth GA (Nov. 13 - Dec. 3, 2010)
After an easy drive from Asheville to Duluth, we made it to Curt and Tish Cloninger's. Pete, like a pro, backed Willie into their curvy driveway and we set up. We moved some gear into their home since they had plenty of room for us, with Kappel and Lili away in Nashville. (See Nashville for updates on them.) Lili and a friend Casey were home for the weekend and came again for Thanksgiving. Casey slept in Willie and liked his own suite where he could play his guitar and watch TV all he wanted. Curt was away working for a few days, so we...Jump to full entry
Aug 14, 2009 - A trip home...
After Angela's visit I flew back to Georgia with her for a visit with my parents. We left on Thursday, August 13. We flew from Butte, Montana (on a small commuter plane that was extremely bumpy) to Salt Lake City then on to Atlanta. We arrived in Atlanta around 11:00 p.m. Thursday and the first thing I noticed when we stepped out of the airport was the heat and humidity! Now you must remember, I haven't been in Georgia during the summer in three years so it was a shock to my system (as well as my hair!). It was so great to see my parents...Jump to full entry
Dec 25, 2008 - Merry Christmas
We celebrated Christmas with Rick's family on the Saturday before Christmas. Everyone enjoyed the day, the children got lots of great gifts and seemed to really enjoy all the early presents. It's always fun to watch them unwrap their gifts and marvel at their new toys. We spent Christmas day with my family in Duluth opening lots of great presents, eating delicious food and enjoying each other. My favorite gift of the day was a new computer. We really love it, thanks Daddy and Meems. We hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas filled with...Jump to full entry
Nov 12, 2008 - It's Great to Be Home for the Holidays!
Sorry it has taken so long for me to post entries to our trip journal, you know the story, busy, busy, busy. So, I'm gonna do several entries in one sitting to catch you all up on what we've been up to. After about six wonderful weeks in Dillon, Montana, we finally left on Friday, November 7 with our sights set on Georgia. Our first night was spent in Rawlins, Wyoming; second in Trinidad, Colorado; third in Roswell, New Mexico; fourth in Shawnee, Oklahoma; and fifth in Birmingham, Alabama and we returned home to Georgia on November 12....Jump to full entry
Mar 12, 2008 - Enjoying the Florida Sun..
After having a terrific time at the race in Daytona we headed back to our friends The Brock's house in Carrabelle, FL. We really enjoyed our time there in the sun. Rick was able to fish some more and there was some great ATV riding just out the back door. I even had to pull Rick out of the mud with my ATV. We then headed north to Perry, Georgia for the annual Good Sam Rally that was held March 12-17. We always enjoy going to the rallies and seeing all the new RV's and gadgets that are new each year. We also enjoy the many informative...Jump to full entry
Dec 26, 2007 - Home for the Holidays.
We made it back to Georgia on Saturday, November 10 and ended up camping at the Cole Family Campground in Duluth, which is actually my parents driveway. Some problems developed with the lot we purchased in Cleveland and until they are resolved we decided to stay with my family. We had a nice Thanksgiving with our families, we ended up eating with both families and boy were we stuffed. It was great catching up with everyone. As many of you know I really enjoy decorating for the holdiays and moving into a RV definitely posed some problems...Jump to full entry
