Saturday morning, we had one last breakfast at Hofer’s and then finished packing our stuff up. After checking out of the hotel, we started making our way home, but not before stopping for one more waterfall hike. Near Clarkesville, we stopped at the Panther Creek Recreation Area of Chattahoochee National Forest. Although the sky was cloudy, there was little rain. Jul 18, 2011 - On the road to Georgia

We took off today to visit Patti and Jim in Clarkesville, Georgia. It was only a few hours drive, but we travelled in Tennessee and North Carolina to get to Georgia. Patti is a real southern bell who could have easily played the role of Scarlett in Gone With the Wind. Chuck found "Scarlett's Secret Museum" so we had to stop. The museum is supposed to contain an exclusive collection of memorabilia from the 1939 movie, Gone With the Wind, starring Vivian Leigh and Clark Gable. Nov 26, 2007 - Friends Thanksgiving

Several years ago, we started having Friends Thanksgiving. We love to entertain and having the "Friday night regulars" over for dinner was a great way to start the holidays. The faces around the table change slightly, but there is a core group that has been coming for many years. Don fixes the turkey, gravy, and dressing.
