Left Virginia Beach traveling East on US 60 to North on US 13 across the Cheasapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel through the Eastern Shore of Virginia, on through Maryland, Delaware and across the Delaware Memorial Bridge on I-295 to New Jersey, then South on Hwy 49 to South on Hwy 47 to South on Hwy 347 to East on Hwy 626 to Seashore Campsites in Cape May, NJ. We'll base here for a few days for our visits in Cape May, Cape May Court House, Green Creek, Swainton, Clermont, Ocean View and Bridgeton.

May 27, 2006 - Week 17 - Cape May

Highlights - (KtH) It was Memorial Day Long weekend and our last minute plans to Cape May (our original plan was to go to Boston) fell in place thanks to the good work of Nic (accommodation) and my Damien (car rental). Our plans to depart at 9.30am failed miserably as Damien and I departed home a little late (printer problems) and then found ourselves behind a line of other people doing exactly what we were doing - hiring a car and getting away. We were rewarded for our wait with the statement that they had run out of 'economy' vehicles...

Oct 5, 2005 - Cape May, NJ

Passing places such as Atlantic City and Ocean City we completed the 115 mile stretch of the NJ ICW and pulled into Miss Chris Marina in Cape May. We walked up to a seafood restaurant for take out. John had fried clams and I had a seafood platter, including flounder, shrimp, scallops, clams and crab cake. I have died and gone to heaven. John finished off with Death By Chocolate cake and the restaurant, which was about to close threw in a loaf of home made bread which will make great French toast in the morning.
