Jul 26, 2013 - Whitewater Adventure!!

Got up bright and early to head to the American River near Coloma, California to go whitewater rafting. We took Whitewater Excitement as our tour guides and had Chris and Mike as guides. We had to shuttle in two groups because our little car doesn't fit everyone, so the first group set out at 630 am to arrive at the meet area. When we were all together we got our safety tour and speech (basically.....don't fall in the water) and off we went. Jun 25, 2013 - Shingle Springs, CA

June 21st we traveled from Carson City, NV to the KOA at Shingle Springs, CA on US 50, a distance of 92 miles. The KOA is located on US 50 about 7 miles west of Placerville, CA. We’d planned a stop to allow us to visit one of Maryann’s friends that has a summer home south of Placerville in the mountains near Yosemite. However, her friend was still in Arizona. Apr 18, 2013 - More Visits

We have spent the last two weeks visiting, visiting and more visiting. We got to spend time with our good friends Sue and Manuel. Unfortunately, they are dealing with health issues. We got to spend a day visiting with my sis who unfortunately lost her husband and my favorite brother-in-law of 59 years, Alan, in March. It is hard to believe he is gone. But we brightened the day with a birthday celebration for a friend of my sis', Gary, who recently lost his wife. Life somehow goes on. You have to find the things to celebrate in...
