Another wonderful day today! We decided to leave a bit early to allow us some time to stop by Stag’s Leap Winery on the way to our reservation at the wonderful Auberge du Soliel. The winery is located within the Stag’s Leap District, a region that garnered international recognition when a cabernet sauvignon from its cellars outscored French producers Mouton-Rothschild and haut-Brion among others, in the Paris Tasting in 1976. Oct 2, 2010 - Wedding In Rutherford
Kathryn wanted to be married in an old church surrounded by vineyards. She found Holy Family Mission Church in Rutherford as the perfect spot. It was built in 1928. Inside it held all the warmth and glow she had envisioned. Beautiful flower arrangements of apricots, salmons, pinks and purple stood at the alter and hung from the pews. The bridal bouquet also had purple sweet peas to honor her Grandmother’s favorite flower. Deacon Chuck said that this was his first time to officiate at a marriage ceremony and told Carlo not to be nervous....
