Jun 15, 2010 - Il Cielo - Beverly Hills, CA
What a wonderful day we had today. We were treated to a delicious lunch at Il Cielo, http://www.ilcielo.com/, by the owner and friend, Pasquale Vericella. Pat is the brother of our dear friend, Biagio Vericella, in Augusta, GA. We met Biagio and his wife, Ruth Ann, over 25 years ago at a neighborhood pool in Augusta. We found out that we were all from NE Ohio and western PA. In fact, our families have known each other for years. We became instant friends and were more like family!! In addition to visiting with Pat, we were able to see his...

May 13, 2010 - Stress, anger, relief, hope
Did the usual this morning got up, got ready, checked out, locked my bags up and walked to a bus stop. We were going back to Rodeo Drive. We got the bus straight up Beverly Blvd and got off at the Beverly Hills sign, which we took our photo with of course. We walked down to Rodeo Drive and did the touristy thing taking photos of shops we can't afford to shop in. I had my photo with the Jimmy Choo shop and Bek had hers with the Prada dummy. Lexie I have photos of the hotel from Pretty Woman (her favourite movie growing up). With a Greyhound...

May 3, 2010 - my journey to ontario in california
Ontario is in San Bernardino County and the Southern California region of California, more than 35 miles east of Los Angeles. I visited the city in 2009 in December. It was a memorable journey for me. Actually I went there for three days. each day I visited an attraction. I booked a hotel there by searching hotels in Ontario California. Now I am discussing the attractions below. Firstly I watch Graber Olive House. The historic Graber Olive House is located in a pleasant neighborhood north of Ontario's business district, and just minutes...

Feb 18, 2010 - Rodeo Drive
We made our way to Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive. Trying to find somewhere to park without paying a fortune was just the start. We eventually found a meter on the street. We wandered up Rodeo Drive looking at the very up market shops. Didn’t dare go in as many had security personnel standing by the door. Felt quite intimidating! We liked the yellow Rolls Royce- considered buying one as our next tow car. The Beverly Wiltshire Hotel looked nothing like the hotel in Pretty Woman. However the camera never lies! Tony enjoyed watching one local...

Sep 5, 2007 - Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills is not accessible by the buses so we only got to skim it. Only vehicles that are less than 6000 pounds are allowed in. Once upon a time everyone was allowed in but the residents soon started to complain about the amount of tourist buses touring their neighbourhood looking at their houses, so they got it stopped. To get in you need to take a 'Star homes' tour. Something about that doesn't sit right with me. Checking out their houses is kind of creepy. VIP tours pushes it though. Back again to Rodeo Drive. Not much different in...

Sep 4, 2007 - Los Angeles by Night
This morning I went to see what tours left from the hotel that I could take. VIP tours runs out of here so I booked one for tonight and one each for the next two days. Tonight was 'Los Angeles by Night'. I was the first one picked up and the following two couple that got on did not speak English. Later I found that one couple did and have been living in Newcastle and are soon to move to Perth. Another couple got on that didn't speak at all and we were off. They advertise that the tour is in English, German, Spanish, Portuguese, French and...
