Jan 28, 2020 - Prolo Day

It was Prolo day today in Mexico, I (Ed) needed to have my right knee fixed which has been making some weird snapping, popping noises over the last 6 months. I have to admit I was concerned because the seniors community we live in has seen many knee operations, some with good results and some not so good with long healing times. I didn't want any knee operation PERIOD,so I chose the method that has shown remarkable results. I guess my knees are not that bad yet?!? This was a new Dr I visited today so my was apprehension was somewhat...

Jan 15, 2020 - Booked a tour today

We booked a tour today to do the Copper Canyon in Mexico. In fact the famous Grand Canyon in Arizona isn’t quite as “grand”. Mexico’s Copper Canyon is actually both bigger and deeper than its famous American cousin. Even better,is the first-class railroad that takes you through this rough wilderness too. Affectionately called “El Chepe”. It will be an 8 day Bus/Train tour that leaves in 1 month from now. Now we just have to careful and not fall and break anything. Ay Chihuahua!!!!!!!!

Jan 11, 2020 - lutefisk and meatballs dinner

Today we attended the Norwegian lutefisk and meatballs dinner.Nothing spectacular,it was set in a church gymnasium and catered by a local Norwegian group. Food was definitely a cultural experience with an acquired taste. Kerry can now pass for a full fledged Norwegian the way he tucked it away, and then went back for another plateful. Marion was happy she came as she has wanted to do this for some time,Eds glad that she's done with this thing. Margaret was willing to try some of it and what she didn't eat,she gave to Kerry. Ed enjoyed the...

Jan 9, 2020 - Day trip to Mexico

We went to the Patsy Cline tribute last night...reviews about this show between the four of us ranged from awfull to not that bad.Her voice was pretty good, the backup band...eh!! Mostly it was the sound tech that screwed up the sound making us listen to an echo sound that left us wondering just what did they just say on that stage? Ed thought her voice was pretty good and the others said it was not that good.I guess that shows that Eds hearing probably not that good? Today we spent a few hours walking around Al Godones in search of...

Jan 7, 2020 - Visitors and things to do

We returned to the Resort we stayed at last winter to visit some friends on Sunday. After knocking back a rather large bottle of wine we headed over to their clubhouse and played card bingo. No winners that night but we all had a great time. We were to return again this Wednesday night for Bingo but we had Kerry and Marg drop in to stay here for a week. BUt we will back there again next week because their Bingo/card game pots are huge. So tonight we went to Bingo here in this resort where Marion was lucky again, winning twice and coming out...
