Feb 1, 2013 - Buckskin Mountain State Park, AZ

2/1/13 - We broke camp in Quartzsite and headed to Buckskin Mountain State Park. It is a great camp ground right on the Colorado River. Some of the guys went golfing and some just stayed and relaxed. There was pock luck that night. 02/02/13 - We all went to the ‘The Desert Bar’ for lunch and drinks. It is a little bar built over a Copper mine. We traveled 7 miles over dirt and rocky roads to get there. It was well worth the trip. This place is run on solar power.

Dec 25, 2007 - Buckskin Mountain State Park

Buckskin Mountain State Park is one of our favorite places to stay. We found it last year on the way to Oregon. It's right on the Colorado River between Parker and Lake Havasu City. But let me qualify my opening statement. We wouldn't want to be here in the summer. Not for the reason you may be thinking though. It's not the heat; it's the boat noise and people. The crowd changes from RV'ers to boaters and that's just not our kind of crowd. Too many kids(the older variety too), boom boxes, and beer. But in the winter it's great; quiet, sunny...
