Heading to the north coast again we headed to the village and castle of Tintagel. The main focus is on Tintagel Island joined to the mainland by a narrow neck of land, on a dramatic piece of Cornwell’s coastline which faces the full force of the Atlantic Ocean. There is a lot of history and folk lore which surrounds Tintagel. Friday, 25 May 2007 Bourne to Wadebridge We left home early - at 5 am - and drove the 320 miles to Wadebridge in Cornwall arriving at approximately 11.30 am having stopped just once on the way at the Gordano Services on the M5 just south of Bristol - as usual, not a pleasant experience; poor, over-priced food.
