Day 7 over 13 miles The day began in bright sunshine in thr pretty village of Bampton where I met Jet and Annemiek shortly after 9am. As we set off across the churchyard of the pretty church opposite their hotel it chimed on the quarter and we stopped briefly to communicate with the most soft haired and fluffy cat I've ever encountered with a tail more like a foxes brush than any cat known to man. Jul 1, 2012 - Rain, Rain Go Away

We woke on Sunday morning to solid rain yet again and it was the 1 July. Will we ever have any summer! After lunch when the rain seemed to be easier we headed out to Haweswater. This man made lake came into existance when a dam was built across Mardale valley.
