Jul 26, 2012 - Family day in Prestwick & Ayr

Today cousin Marilyn and Uncle Gerard picked us up from Fernbank B&B at 10 am and took us for coffee and scones in the Burns museum where Marilyn's husband Raymond also met us in a lovely cafe set in the woods. We caught up all of the deblieck family history and similarities and both Marilyn and I found out that we had much in common from our love of French and Music all the way to our body types. Even though it was the first time meeting one another, we certainly felt at home with our family instantly! We toured a bit of the countryside...

Jul 25, 2012 - Ely to Birmingham to Glasgow, Irvine & Prestwick

Today was a very long day with the majority spent travelling by train to Scotland. As I write this travel blog I am still looking out the window at light even though it is 10pm and I have finally realized after two weeks of travelling that the days start earlier here in the UK and end later since we are at a higher altitude. At 5am the sun is up and the birds are singing and it begins to get dark around 9:30 in England and 10pm in Scotland.
