Day 8 about 13 miles and it's back to Kirkby Stephen where I spent the night before I began the walk a week or so before. Annemiek and Jet popped into the village chocolate factory and shop for gifts as this is their last days walking before they fly back to Holland after a nights rest in Kirkby Stephen. We bade farewell to Peter who we had shared dinner with the previous night. He will be meeting relatives doing the walk a few days later in Richmond so I hoped I may meet him again but in the event this was not to occur. We headed north...

May 14, 2014 - all 3 together again

B&B was beautiful, went out for fish and chips last night, just starving, had a good sleep. The B&B was an old old house, no ghosts though, so much history here. Beautiful sunny day we had to put on sunscreen, the walk was easy today only over rolling hills, the scenery was magnificent, went through this old church and graveyard, hugh tombstones dated back to the 1800.We have meet so many people doing this walk, everyone is keeping an eye out for each other.
