We catch a train into London – to Victoria Station. An interesting lesson on mobile phones and trains. Only about six of us in the carriage settling down to our own thoughts when suddenly a young girls voice comes over loud and clear: “I just wanted to call and tell you that it’s not yours” Now that certainly got all our attention! She then went on to explain that ‘it’ couldn’t be his as she was ‘farver’ than she had thought and they had only been ‘togever’ a couple of months ago. Apr 27, 2011 - A journey through Kent
We take a walk around Folkestone in the morning before a meandering drive through Romney Marsh – a long stop at one point whilst David conversed with an old farmer (Peter Webb - 84 years old), another while discussing sheep (Texels) with some farmers sorting their flock. We stop in Ashford and purchase a tent and some associated camping gear before making our way to Minster where we book in to a motel for 3 days. A little tired – there have been quite a few days with a lot of driving and concentrating.
