@@@@@@@ KAPOORS ON THE ROAD We abandoned out plans to explore Sandwich, Margate and Gravesend because of a change in the weather, and instead headed cross country through Canterbury and on towards Dartford, the nearest place where we could cross the Thames River and head north to Norfolk. We knew we would miss seeing Canterbury Cathedral, but our guidebook suggests visitors allow at least two hours to see it properly, and we had several hours of driving ahead of us and we wanted to arrive before dark. Mar 28, 2014 - Visit to Stone

We went to leave our pitch this morning and we were stuck! It had rained a bit last night and Homer’s wheels were just spinning on the grass “rally field”. We got a tow off by the warden’s Range Rover. We drove to Bluewater, the fourth-largest shopping centre in the UK opened 15 years ago and built in a former chalk quarry in Stone, near where my mum lived. May 30, 2008 - Ebbsfleet train station

We had such a good stay in Sandwich with unusual warm, sunny weather so we were a little sad to leave our comfortable familiar surroundings. Sadly, our last week in England was typical wet and chilly, so it was exciting to be moving locations and hopefully warmer! Our high speed train left at 1015am and we zipped through the tunnel (about 20 minutes)under the English Channel and arrived in Brussels at 100pm. The time zone in Europe is one hour ahead so the trip was only 2 hours.
