Again not a brilliant day weather wise so we decided once again to take a drive tour around the Dorset countryside. Our first discovery was the picture postcard village of Milton Abbas. The village owes its neatness to the First Earl of Dorchester, Joseph Damer who in 1780 decided the market town of “Middleton” on his estate was an eye saw and disturbed his vision of rural peace.
