Mar 31, 2017 - March 2017

Another busy month. We had a few minor repairs to the coach sorted. Tony had his annual medical for his HGV licence. Dental appointments with Tony requiring a new crown and Heather had to have a major filling (auch in the money department!) We had to get the tow system looked at as it wasn’t working properly In between all that we extended Mum’s patio, laying 52 paving slabs! This will allow her to get out in the garden with her walker in the summer. Even though we say it ourselves we think we did a really good job for a pair of novices! We...

Oct 22, 2016 - A roundabout way to get to Kent

On Thursday morning we were closing up the coach ready to head down to Kent. The lounge slide-out would not come in. After changing the fuse it came in but this was the second time it had happened to us. Something was not right. We contacted the technician we used in Lincolnshire and after talking to him we decided to head to Grantham rather than Kent He thought that the controller for the slide-out was starting to get dodgy so as he had the necessary parts and could come to us on Friday afternoon at the campground in Grantham we changed...

Oct 24, 2014 - The usual busy first month back in the UK

As usual returning back to the UK after a long trip means a busy time for the first few weeks and this time was no exception. The first ten days saw us getting the car and motorhome serviced and MOT'd(Ministry of Transport Tested) along with a few repairs on motorhome like getting the back ladder rebuilt. This also gave us the opportunity to say hello to Linda(Tony's sister) and Kevin although it was a sad time for them as Kevin's Dad died whilst we were staying with them. With all the coach and car issues sorted e then spent two weeks in...

Mar 26, 2014 - Busy month!

The past month has been busy. Firstly the coach went into Gold RV for a few days to have: 1) Passenger side front jack replaced. 2) Driver's side front slide-out rubber seal replaced 3) External steps repaired 4) A few other minor items. Just like a house you have to keep up to date with the repairs and maintenance but the bank balance diminishes! While the coach was in Gold RV we spent a few days with Linda and Kevin as usual. We were going to try a new (to us) campground near Northampton but due to the heavy rain the UK had experienced...

Feb 12, 2014 - Rain Rain Go Away!

Hi all, Following lunch, the weather took a drastic turn for the worse! Undeterred, we wrapped up to brave the elements and completed the first activity of the afternoon. However, as the rain and wind worsened, the high wire activities were cancelled as a safety precaution and alternative indoor activities were put into place. The children are continuing to impress us with their lovely manners, excellent behaviour and super teamwork. We are very proud and happy teachers! We hope that you are enjoying hearing about our adventures and shall...
