Today we visited another National Trust property Ickworth near Bury St Edmonds. The weather was not very good, typical English winter weather!.The beauty of visiting one of the National Trust properties there is that there are usually good reasonably well maintained walking trails which at this time of year can be important. We all enjoyed our walk around the estate- a little muddy at times

May 29, 2010 - Swanning on to Ely
Saturday 29th May, and time to leave London for Norwich. I planned to stop off at Ely to see the cathedral. Clearly some British train drivers were comedians in a former life. Between Cambridge and Ely the train stopped in the middle of nowhere. "Ladies and gentlemen, please accept my apologies for the delay.
