This is where we spent the last week of our Thailand Experience. Ko Samet This is a beautiful island. Its about a half hour boat trip off the coast of Thailand. There is nothing to do except sun, sea and sand. Oh and more sand. In fact sand everywhere. Our guesthouse is right on the coast. We have to walk the long distance to the beach of about 30 seconds. We took a double decker VIP bus from Bangkok to Trat, and then a ferry to the island of Koh Chang. Koh Chang is a hilly, forest-covered island just off the coast of Cambodia. It is Thailand’s second largest island, and has been the recent target of investment and development. Unfortunately, much of the development has been haphazard and consists mostly of strip malls along the islands main roadway.
