Interlaken to Bern We woke to a lovely morning, clear skies and moderate temperature. The only dark spot was my discovery that I did not have the GPS track for today’s ride. I will have to follow Bruce very carefully! The first 20 km of the route was alongside the Thunersee in the direction of Thun. As this was mostly along the shoreline there were few hills and lots of views across the lake and alongside the nearby shore. Jul 23, 2016 - A drive to Gstaad

It had rained all day the day before so although the weather wasn’t very good we decided we would drive out towards Gstaad. It was not a memorable drive. We went up to the Jaunpass which had some good views down the valley. Took the road down to Lenk which was not much of a place but found some falls. We reached the edge of Gstaad but realised entry to the town was being controlled so we turned around and stopped at the nearby village of Saanen. Sep 28, 2008 - Gstaad in Switzerland and Evian in France

My first leg of today is the town of Gstaad. Various hikes you can do here and also a great base for the winter season and to get up to the glacier. I decided not to hike up a mountain today(yes I know a shocker!) and instead I walked around the town for a bit. I took the panoramic train from Montreux to Gstaad and the view was incredible.
