6:00 p.m. Well, I got back from an afternoon run about an hour ago. My time here at Vikki's parents home has been both relaxing and productive. We spent an enjoyable New Year's Eve with Vikki's family, highlighted by a delicious dinner prepared by a number of her brothers and some wine as well.While we had cold damp weather and gray skies today, several of the immediately preceding days have been crisp and cool. Dec 27, 2009 - Visit to Local Sights around Örnahusen - Ale's Stenar & Glimmingehus near

Well, it's around 7 o'clock in the evening, and I expect we'll be eating dinner shortly. However, given that Vikki and I visited a couple of local tourist sights today, I wanted to quickly memorialize the sights which we saw here in the vicinity of Örnahusen, the small village where I am spending the holidays with Vikki and her family. We visited 2 local attractions today, Ale's Stenar and Glimmingehus. Definitely worth a look, but I can imagine it is far nicer to take in both sites in good weather as opposed to the cool windy weather...

Dec 25, 2009 - Merry Christmas from Örnahusen, Sweden!

4:30 p.m. Örnahusen, Sweden. Well, it is dark outside already here in Örnahusen, a small coastal fishing village which lies in Skåne County in the province of Scania, Sweden's southernmost province. If the account I read online is accurate, Örnahusen has a year round population of less than 100 residents. So it's pretty rural, to put it mildly.
