After about a two hour drive, we arrived at the West Coast Fossil Park and met our guide Pippa Haarhoff who gave us the run down of the site. The West Coast Fossil Park opened in 1998 due to the growing awareness and interest in paleontology by the general public. The main aim of the park is to communicate science to the public, and it attracts visitors of all ages as well as tourists. Nov 25, 2011 - Another Day, Another Bay

Because it is the weekend and we are fairly close to Cape Town our intended camp was fully booked upon our arrival. No problem really, as heading south is full of options along the coast. Paternoster is our next choice. The route takes us from Lambert's Bay inland a bit to Leipoldville before driving towards the coast and Eland's Bay. Out of curiousity, we cruise through this small quaint town before going farther south. Beaches are very nice here as well and it looks less touristy. Huge white sand dunes surround part of the town.
