On the 26th we took a bus tour to the town of Pushkin, which is about a half hour away. The town, which used to be called Tsarskoe Selo ("Tsar's Village"), is home to 2 famous palaces and a lyceum. The delineation is a little confusing, but I think the area with the two palaces is still referred to as Tsarskoe Selo, while the surrounding town is called Pushkin.
