Mar 21, 2007 - Rob Roy Glacier
After on e night in the Camper Van around the Milford SOund, we headed back to Te Anau for a morning hike on a short stretch of the Kepler Track (another NZ "Great Wlak") and then made our way to Queenstown for dinner and finished up back in Wanaka at the McGregors. With Bob off fishing, Kim joined us for a misty hike up to the Rob Roy Glacier in Mt. Aspiring National Park.Jump to full entry
Mar 18, 2005 - The Glacier Hike - amazing!!
Once again I have photos but once again I'm at a computer with out an accessible CD drive - I hate that. But anyway, once I get to Queenstown I have set asside an entire day for hangover and email so hopefully I will be able to download everything so that you can see for yourselves. Anyway, the Glacier hike was amazing! We set off at 9am in shorts, tanktops, and gore-tex rain coats with boots and ice talons(for the bottom of the boots) - a really fashionable look.
