V sedm pak vsechny najednou vyjeli smerem do Pokhary. Jela v podstate jedna velka kolona autobusu. Nepál 2017

May 11, 2016 - May 11, Day 09: Bamboo to Deurali (3230m/10,595ft): 3 - 4 hours

Woke up a little bitchy. Was cold all night and I didn't sleep then as I'm packing my gear up I hear the locals trying to drive the dog out of town. I had already been up and out and knew she was laying in front of my door so I whip it open and exchange a few words with them. Honrath knew I was not a happy lady. I don't care if they don't believe that dogs are pets they will not mistreat one while I am around!!!! Fuck! Went back to my packing up, took a deep breath and chill pill, brushed my teeth and went out for mint tea and breakfast....

May 10, 2016 - May 10, Day 08: Chhomrong to Bamboo (2310m/7578ft): 4 - 5 hours

Another amazing day. Each day I'm getting a little stronger and able to breath a little bit better. My travel pals are rocking it out!! I swear they are part mountain goatl𯙂 There is so much to see and we were adopted by a dog who decided to do the trek with us. All the dogs and cats are feral in Nepal and they don't have vets to fix them so a lot of animals run the streets. The villages either have one, two or no dogs and do not care for strange dogs coming into their space. Food is still amazing. I can't believe the food. We have had so...

May 9, 2016 - May 9, Day 07: Tadapani to Chhomrong (2170m/7120ft): 6 hours trek

Another beautiful day. My routine is to get packed and ready first then go down for breakfast. Another breaky of potatoe and egg and the morning is a little chilly. After we are done time to go load up. When we get down the sun has come out and it is quite warm. Now for us Trekkers warm is not necessarily that good. We like it around 13 -15 max any hotter than that and we become our own personal sweat lodge especially going up hill. The ground gives off heat, the trees give off heat and you give off heat and sweat...not so good. Hence the...

May 8, 2016 - May 8, Day 06: Ghorepani to Tadapani (2,700m/8,860ft) with a visit to Poon Hill: 6 - 7 hours

What a beautiful day!! The girls have headed for their 5:30am sunrise at Poon Hill...me I stayed in bed and slept for 1 1/2 more hours𯘊. When they got back they said it was spectacular but I watched the sunset from my room and it was a cloudless beautiful morning. We had a clear day all day. We saw more beautiful jungle and ran into more people. The people that are on these treks are from everywhere around the world. There are some that are 1 person and go up to 10 people. The guides and porters all know each other and the people in the...

May 7, 2016 - Day 05: Ulleri to Ghorepani (2,750 m/ 9,020 ft): 4 - 5 hours trek

Shit! Didn't want to get up this morning my body felt like I had been in a bar room brawl. Had breakfast, got packed and my shit together, more water and onto day 2 of the trek. Another physically gruelling day. I am always blessed by the fact that even when I want to quit or feel like I can't make it I can enjoy the beauty and wonder around me. Nepal is truly a beautiful place. This hike in particular takes you through amazing foliage. Now we have stayed at one tea house we recognize other trespkeers that pass us. The hills are still a...

May 6, 2016 - Pohkara

Day 2 in Pohkura. Started with breakfast at the hotel then off we went on a tour of the city. We went and did some spelunking to a revered site, then we went to a place where people go and pray, and we got to drive through the authentic Pohkura. Where the people have homes, live, go to work and do their laundry. We were then driven back to the hotel and dropped off and we walked to an Italian restaurant (our guide chose this one) where we had a great dinner and then walked back to the hotel. I then packed and got ready for the morning. I...

May 6, 2016 - May 6, Day 04: trek to Ulleri [2050 m/6725 ft]: 2 hour drive and 6 hrs trek

Well our first trek day on our journey. We drive 2 hours to the start of the Trek, grab our gear and for we go. Today was hard but beautiful. The next two days are straight up and let me tell you I really didn't think was going to make it. A Nepal trail is straight up the side of the mountain. No forgiveness no mercy. You either do it or don't those are truly your two choices. The scenery was absolutely stunning. The mountains and jungle are spectacular! The different kinds of flowers, bugs and trees. I took lots of pictures but wifi is so...

May 5, 2016 - Pokhara

Finally Pohkara!! What a beautiful and mellow city. It's so green, has a lake and this is the starting point for many Trekkers. We were pretty much left to our own devices for the rest of the day & evening. Had a lovely dinner at the hotel and it was very green, lots of flowers & marble. Went to bed to be ready for our tour day.

Mar 1, 2016 - Pokhara

March 1 I am having great difficulty uploading pictures due to poor wifi internet access. I am going to hold uploading pictures for now. I will try to upload as soon as it is possible. Cool in the AM, later became quite warm - quick brief rain with lots of wind. Went outside and looks to north hoping to see the Anapurna range. We did see some of it, but always partially obscured by clouds. Never the less, pretty cool. Rom says the best time to see the punt aims is in October. Maybe next time. Ate breakfast at the lodge - had "pancakes" and...

Feb 29, 2016 - Pokhara

Woke up to a beautiful dry morning. After eating breakfast, packed for our overnight in the mountains. Met our Nepalese guide and mentor, Rom (? Spelling). We were picked up by a taxi and were taken to the start of the Anapurna base camp trek trailhead. The ride there was interesting as we went by gas stations with long lines of vehicles , at times blocking the road. The Indian fuel blockade ended 1 week ago, but it is still in short supply. We hiked this short section of the of the Anapurna base camp trail with our guide. He carried our...

Feb 28, 2016 - On to Pokhara

Feb 28 Sunday We woke in Kathmandu to a slightly cool morning. Dry. Had a nice Breakfast at our hotel, included with our room. Walked over to the Boudda stupa - walked clockwise around it , as is usually dome. Because it was still early in the AM , there was not any tourists. Many people marched with us, spinning prayer wheels and chanting. We eventually slipped away and took a taxi to the airport. We flew Yeti air to Pokhara. Walked from here to our hotel - Sacred Valley Inn. Walked around Pokhara, going to the Lake ( Phewa or Fewa...
