When I got off the ferry in Mersing, I called up James on his cell, expecting him to be 5 hours up the coast, waiting for me so we could head inland to a chain of 12 lakes. Fooled again. When he picked up the phone he kinda sheepishly giggled and said he was just walking into the bus station. See me in 2 minutes. We thought we'd give this place a go cos it seemed quite nice and we really couldnt be bothered to go anywhere else. Although going to Tasik Chini was probably the hardest option out of the lot in terms of difficulty in reaching the place! After a few bus journeys and a private taxi ride, we arrived at Rajan Jones Guesthouse which was empty. Not a single person/tourist around! PEACE AND QUIET.
