Exciting but big days. Put fret wire in. Shape up bridge and glue on. Sanding whole guitar in preparation for oiling. Put 5 coats of Danish oil on, hang to dry overnight. Next day, one we've been waiting anxiously for. Rub down entire guitar with steel wool, and apply coating of wax and buff up. Awesome! Sand down ivory saddle for bridge and nut. String up and PLAY!! Jun 25, 2008 - Day off in Bagni di Lucca / Gombereto

Today was the day we had planned for Roy's dinner, as it was fresh market day in Bagni di Lucca. After a great breakfast, his friend Silvano dropped by for a visit. Silvano is living in his nearby ancestral village but despite his apparent Italianness he is a true Glaswegian just learning the language with Roy. We together checked out the local fresh product and decided on a seafood dinner . We passed most of the day at the pools. It is a fantastic public facility. We capped off the day with Roy's exceptional five-course dinner which...
