Domenica mattina. Lascio Roma ed Anghela verso le dieci del mattino, non so piu' se la pioggia torrenziale e' quella che ha causato la piena del Tevere o viene dai lucciconi della mia meta' migliore. Quasi non mi va di partire. Mi sembra pero' che questo viaggio fosse destino, e fosse importante, che dovessi farlo da solo. Sono partito quindi, alla ricerca di qualcosa. Aug 24, 2008 - Goodbye Calatafimi- Hello Roma!
We spent this morning doing the final clean of the apartment and washing towels and sheets. We had to be at Zia and Zio’s by 11am and were scheduled to leave Calatafimi at 12 midday. Zia had prepared (once again) an amazing spread of food for our send off. She had even made gluten free cotoletta’s for Tia and I. These people had never even heard of ‘gluten free’ prior to Tia and I arriving but have just been amazing in learning how to accommodate our difficult dietary requirements. I think that they may have even enjoyed some of ‘our’ foods...Jump to full entry

so im in rome! and the days i am here are public holidays so the vatican was closed but i went anyway, and the basilca is amazing! i dod the collesseum, the trevi fountain, the pantheon and all the ruins it was fantastic! mow im off to berlin, sleeping on the train instead of the ferry and will stopp off in munich for a small bit xxxxJump to full entry

Late morning flight from Amman to Rome. The airport, which had been pretty much deserted on our arrival to Jordan was now a chaotic scene. Eventually managed to check in and sit down for a cup of coffee. The flight to Rome took about three and a half hours. We then caught the Leonado Express train from the airport to central Rome. Bought our train tickets to Naples, only had half hour to wait. On the train, started up a conversation with a local. This is when the coincidences started.
