May 2, 2015 - on the road to Comayagua

up early this morning as we have to leave the hotel at 5:45AM to be at the ferry landing for the 7:00am ferry to the La Celba this is a 1 1/2 hour ride, we get our bus here and head to Comayagua our last stop before leaving Honduras, today is one of our longer days of travel a trip taking about 11 hours a couple stops for bathroom and for lunch getting into our Comayagua hotel every evening, a very basic hotel glad we are only here for a night, a walk to supermarket for some things for breakfast as it will be another very early morning. Jan 28, 2009 - Comayagua, Honduras

Well a good night’s sleep seems to have worked as the aches were gone and I was feeling better but now Janine is feeling a little “off”. The best thing for us was to just take the day off and stay here in Comoyagua. We did venture out for a few hours but otherwise just stayed in the hotel napping. I must say Comayagua is one of the cleanest and definitely the quietest town we have visited in Central America. Jan 27, 2009 - Choluteca to Comayagua, Honduras

Today started off a little shaky for me. For the first time on this trip I felt like I must have picked up a bit of a bug or something. It started with some extra seat time in the washroom but that cleared up with-in an hour. Still, I was beginning to ache all over like a flue. My stomach was also a little queasy. I felt well enough to ride so we took off and headed inland with a target of reaching Comayagua, an old colonial town near the centre of Honduras. Rond een uur of 7 's avonds aangekomen in Comayagua. De stad staat bekend vanwege de nog goede staat van de Spaanse koloniale architectuur. De kathedraal beschikt over de oudste klokken van het hele Amerikaanse continent. Heerlijk de hele dag in een busje gezeten. En dan hadden we ook nog een upgrade geboekt qua vervoer.
