Just up the road from us was the small town of Kelheim. The town itself was interesting with the old and new Rathauses(Town Halls) next door to each other . The city of Kelheim built its city hall in the middle of the now two main roads. When it was demolished in 1824 the city council moved into what is called today the Altes Rathaus( Old City Hall ) which had once belonged to the city scribe and had been built in 1598 and renovated in the 17th century.
