For our five-year anniversary, Sandy and I spent a week in beautiful Croatia. We left on Saturday, September 17, our actual anniversary. Unfortunately, we spent it in the airport. From RDU, we flew to Washington Dulles and took an overnight flight to Munich. We arrived in Munich at around 8 AM local time and didn’t fly out to Split until late afternoon. Sep 22, 2011 - Freising/Munich

I traveled to Freising because my flight to India was booked out of the Munich airport. Turns out the airport is much closer to Freising than Munich. This city is located in the Bavarian part of Germany and has a different culture and even speaks a little different version of German with a different accent. Here I couchsurfed for a 3 days with Henning. He was a really cool guy that was attending the university there to earn a graduate degree in Brewing. Oct 7, 2010 - Dachau

Last touring day. Well we got up this morning and had to find an Apotheke (pharmacy) as I seem to have caught a cold on our last day and that is only where you can get cold medicine. We had to go to a totally different store to get tissues. Then we were off to Dachau Concentration Camp and Memorial Site near Munich. I must say that this was the stop that had the biggest impact.
