We headed for the mountains again this time exploring the lower Têt valley east of Perpignan and particular the Orgues at Ille-sur-Tet Our road from Elne gave us spectacular views of the Canigou Mountain(2784m) which was snow capped and looking magnificent. We did not go straight to Ille-sur-Tet as the Orgues were not open until the afternoon at this time of year. After the excitement of the Thursday market we had to relax and tackle a few more chapters in our respective books. Which is exactly what we did. It seems to have taken a few visits to the various markets to get our food and drink requirements sorted out and Saturday was the first day we didn’t shop.
