Jun 10, 2016 - Day 7 Cycle Tour. Montbéliard to Mulhouse

Overview Another pleasant day of cycling. This is the last day of us being on Eurovelo6. Tomorrow more serious navigation. Tried to stop for coffee in a restaurant in a barge. No luck... Food only. But it was very cute inside! For days we have been following km marks on the Velo route surface. First noticed at approx 133km. We wondered what was at zero. Mulhouse, located in the Alsace region, our most recent jaunt, traces it’s written history to 1308 as part of the Holy Roman Empire. Since then it has been Swiss, German and French, with a period as a Calvinist independent republic. It joined France in 1798. Why did we decide to go to Mulhouse, a place it took us a week to almost pronounce properly? Mulhouse, in the 19th century was nicknamed the French Manchester due to its industrial development. Jul 20, 2013 - Day 1 & day 2, Mulhouse , Colmar and village

Arrived in Paris at 7:30am. Quickly made it through immigration and customs. We all got our bags. Managed to find our way through the airport and to the car rental. Our only issue was figuring out the car and the cars GPS. Found the GPS but then needed to change it to English . Found the AC and GPS in English, life is good . We are on our way to see Lilli . Yeah So I took a little nap and left sarah to be Steve's co-pilot. When I woke up 90 minutes later she was asleep! And we were slightly off course. Not sure how it happened . As luck...

Jul 23, 2012 - Mulhouse en Alsace ... cité de l'automobile

Dimanche le 22 juillet Jour 27 Nous quittons la région de Bourgogne pour celle de l’Alsace plus précisément Mulhouse. Nous nous dirigeons graduellement vers les nord est de la France. Nous arrivons tôt dans le village de Mulhouse, c’est dimanche. Tout est fermé, on croirait une ville fantôme. Nous savons que Mulhouse est la ville de l’automobile.
