May 31, 2006 - Valley of the Kings, Queens, and Karnak
Luxor - I am pretty much going to let my pictures speak for themselves. I spent a few days in Luxor in what is known as Middle Egypt. Its where you find the Valley of the Kings, the Valley of the Queens, Luxor temple, Karnak, Tombs of the Nobles, and a whole slew of other archeological sites in what is known as the Theban Necropolis. Its almost impossible to wrap your head about the age of the things you see there. Some remnants are 6-9,000 years old!!!! And some of the murals look like they could have been painted 20 years ago. Hola nuevamente a todos y todas (muy presidencal este saludo no?) Al fin pudimos subir algunas fotos del desierto, sigan pendientes por que seguro manana subimos otras. Pues bien continuamos: En el capitulo pasado nuestros heroes se encontraban en un video de boda Egipcia medio desnudos, que verguenza, deberian censularlos. Jan 27, 2006 - A day of relaxing amongst the craziness!
Finally!! We were able to catch up on some much needed rest on Wednesday. We boarded another Felucca (The Nile Bride) at 9:00am, and had a very relaxing day. The whole group spent the day reading, and napping. And of course eating!! More delicious meals were made for us on the Nile. Hani also tried to teach us some Arabic along the way. Unfortunately my brain is currently done for trying to fit in new languages, so I was not a star student! We arrived at our overnight destination around 5:00 and had dinner around 6:00.
