Apr 20, 2019 - Easter Surprise

So despite telling you all we were relaxing in Frankenmuth for an extra day, we drove ahead and spent the night in Port Huron yesterday. Then today we crossed into Canada, and surprised our daughter, son-in-law, grandson, Michelle's sister and our niece, in Whitby, for Easter. Since we missed last year's Easter get together because of the bus breakdown, we were just a little worried we were tempting fate trying again but 'knock on wood', we made it. Now back to yesterday. We pulled out at 10:40 after a nice lazy morning and big breakfast....

Winter In Phoenix

I am so grateful to Spencer and all of my friends who made my visit to Michigan so much fun. It still feels strange to be there without Tom and it feels even stranger leaving by myself. I suppose time doesn't take care of everything. It took five hours to get to Whitby - not a bad ride at all. I grabbed a bite to eat before heading to the Station Gallery - a railway depot that was scheduled for demolition but was rescued by a group of women in town and turned into an art gallery. Aug 16, 2010 - Joliet, Illinois - Whitby, Ontario - HOME!

Got up and had a quick breakfast of cereal and toast as we wanted to get moving and home. Hit Indiana before 9 and Michigan around 9:40. Traffic was good, weather a nice 82 but we lost another hour. It was nice gaining them on the way down but not so nice losing them. Guess that's like everything - who wants to lose anything! Had another bush stop but no bushes, no dumpster. We didn't even get off the highway!!! Another lesson learned - no coffee for Potty Boy #2 when he's driving!! We had hoped to reach Sarnia at around 3:30 and we were...

Oct 19, 2007 - The Startng Line

Hi Everyone and Anyone, My journey is staring here in Ontario or is it ending here. I start the drive out to BC tomorrow morning at 6am. Going to be meeting my Dad for breakfast in Barrie for 8am. If i am on time I will let you know. Just a little goodbye for alll my friends aka my family. Know that you will be missed greatly and that I want so very much for you to come visit me ASAP.
