THE CULTURAL SIDE OF LIFE RAFFLE ATTACK #2 Since I had met the Guest Relations Manger of Raffles in Siem Reap (yes we have a Raffles here) a few of us had discussed going there for a cocktail and a swim. So this week we did both and it was very decadent. It was a bit dicey for a while as the security guards who chased us and kept gesturing to the exist sign looked like they were going to evict us from the premises. Nov 13, 2006 - Koh Ker (day trip from Siam Reip)

We decided to head out of Siam Reip for the day, to visit an abandoned 10th century capital. As there were not any day trips to Koh Ker we needed to organise our own trip, we arranged for a taxi to take us there and back for the day. Our first stop was at a temple on the way, I think this was probably my most favorite temple I have visited, as Koh Ker does not attract many tourists due to it's location and lack of accomodation, the temple was pretty much untouched, all of the large stones had been left in the places they had fallen over...
