A second stopover in Las Paz was necessary, as we wanted to travel on to Uyuni and see the Salt Flats. We had to try about four hostels before we found a room and we ended up in the local Israeli haunt, in a cell-like room above the restaurant. La Paz failed to endear itself to us the second time around, the sun during the day only accentuating the constant aroma of human waste and giving the plethora of wasted humans plenty of warm spots to fester in.
