So we left SUnday morning to meet a family member in Mittenwald. We had a six hour train ride and getting towards the end we got so nervous! We were supposed to meet Susanne at the train station at 330, but we had no idea what she´d look like. We actually found her right away. She is so nice! She lives in a tiny little town in the middle of some huge mountatins with her husband. He´s off taking mountaineering winter courses. He´s a real outdoors person. The town is incredible! Its what you´d think a little village in germany should look...

We left for Liechenstein early saturday morning, because we had class till late friday evening and it would take 4 hours for us to get to Liechenstein. We had to drag ourselves out of bed around 5 AM and head for the train station. The ride on the train was uneventful, Lindsay and I talked while Miles and Kendall slept most of the time. Our train ride took us around Lake Constance, the 3rd largest lake in Europe, into Austria where we would have to catch a bus into Liechenstein. Dec 24, 2003 - Destination 4: Feldkirch, Austria

After the one hour tour of Liechtenstein's entirety, which is barely an exaggeration, we spent the day getting into the Christmas spirit. We woke up to a white mountain setting with its cool, skin-tightening air and we headed across the street to the Austian border. The border town we visited was the quaintest (is that a real word?), little villagy (another questionable adjective) town we have ever seen.
