17/02 – Back on the mainland again and headed out to Lang Lang, tried to find out the origin of the name and the area, but they could only tell me that usually when there is double word of something in the aboriginal language, it usually means “big”. They think it might have been named for the big bay here or tides. The tides here are huge, almost as big as Broome, oysters can be taken from the beach and apparently fishing is quite good too.
